Lightning Building Products is an Australian-owned manufacturer and supplier of high-quality Gas and Water PEX systems and Press Systems for both domestic and commercial applications.
With industry experience dating back to 2005, founder Andy Comans pioneered the introduction of Pex-Al-Pex piping systems for above-ground gas installations in Australia, setting new benchmarks for safety, performance and reliability.
Our History

Since 2013, Lightning Building Products has been the trusted manufacturing partner for Tradelink Plumbing Centres, producing their exclusive TradePex home brand. With warehouses strategically located in Melbourne, Victoria and Perth, Western Australia, we deliver fast, efficient and dependable distribution nationwide.

In 2024, Lightning Building Products expanded its innovation with the development of our own Copper and Stainless-Steel Press Systems. Officially launched in 2025, the Lightning Press System has quickly become a key solution for both domestic and commercial applications.

A smarter, safer, lead-free solution has been implemented throughout the entire Lightning Building Products range, including our Water PEX Systems and Copper Press Systems, ensuring compliance, safety and sustainability across all installations.
